Description
1 This is an appeal from the judgment of sentence entered by the Court of Common Pleas of York County after a jury convicted Appellant of involuntary manslaughter. On appeal, Appellant claims that: (1) his conviction for involuntary manslaughter is barred by the statute of limitations, even though he withdrew such claim and subsequently resurrected it in a post-sentence motion; (2) he received ineffective of assistance of trial counsel; (3) the verdict was against the weight of the evidence; (4) his sentence is manifestly excessive and violates the Sixth Amendment and is in conflict with Blakely v. Washington, --- U.S. ---, 124 S.Ct. 2531 (2004); and (5) the trial court failed to supply sufficient reasons for sentencing Appellant to the statutory maximum. We affirm the judgment of sentence and dismiss Appellants ineffective assistance of counsel claim without prejudice pursuant to Commonwealth v. Grant, 572 Pa. 48, 812 A.2d 726 (2002).
